Well, I've discovered there are more kids in my class than I imagined who are not going to have a decent Christmas. :-( I have one with no coat, and we're at 3000 feet. Mornings and evenings are REALLY cold! (It's not Flagstaff, but close). Two don't have backpacks. Two don't have any good clothing or shoes. The school nurse, fortunately, works through St. Vincent de Paul to help fix this problem, but not everyone is reached. The jackets are covered, but I'm probably buying a backpack and a decent set of shoes. Poor babies!! And we expect them to learn?? |

:( Boy, every time I think I've got it bad...
I hear you there. I had a kid that not only didn't have good shoes or PANTS (seriously, I think there needs to be a breeding license) but his dad was a total creep who beats on him.
He used to try to hit on me too...fucking disgusting waste of human flesh. Yes, I'm going to want to date a) one of my parents or b) one that beats on his 2nd grader to make himself feel better. No thanks.
Gotta love it! I agree that there should be a breeding license. It would solve SO many problems! | |
